Sharing the love of the Outback – and romance!

The delightful Davina Stone generously included me in a chat this week with best-selling and award winning rural romance writers Maya Linnell and Penelope Janu about what the Outback means to us and our writing. Was I flattered? You bet I was!

As well as being talented and remarkable women, they write fabulous page-turning books with life-affirming romance stories that bring rural Australia vividly to life. You’ll love reading more about them in Davina’s Diary here.

Being interviewed by Davina reminded me of so many wonderful Outback experiences I’ve had and left me hungry for more. The photo of me above at Uluru was taken by my camera shy husband when he surprised me with a Valentine’s Day trip to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park last year. Romance and the Outback – what a perfect combination.

(That combination inspired my story Ryan’s Return (out now on Amazon in Revealed: A Romance Anthology) which is set in the fictional town of Granite Ridge. If you like rugged loner heroes, driven to do what’s right, you’ll want to meet Ryan, and Aurora, the woman he’s trying hard to resist.)

Do you have an Outback connection you feel in your bones, or maybe just a curiosity about what makes people live there? Check out Davina’s blog and let me know what you think.
